Course Management System Review Committee

In July, Blackboard, Inc., the vendor for our centrally-supported course management system (CMS), announced that support for that system was being discontinued and that all current users would have to migrate to a new product which has yet to be released. In response, Fedro Zazueta, Director of the Office of Academic Technology, has convened a faculty-based multi-disciplinary committee to review the current state of the University course management system; to evaluate available alternatives, including open source; and to make a recommendation for the future regarding whether UF should continue with the current vendor or whether another product might better meet UF needs.
