CITT Class Calendar: PowerPoint, Dreamweaver
Do you need to learn how to optimize your pictures to put online or in Power Point presentations? We have a workshop for that! How about learning to use Dreamweaver so you can post a syllabus or homepage online? We have workshops for that as well. Workshop offerings for January and February are posted online. In the CITT Tools & Techniques Toolbox - Mapping Mashups
Mapping Mashups refer to the use of mapping tools such as Yahoo or Google maps to compile data onto a map with markers, text, pictures, audio, video, and online resources. For example, a Mapping Mashup could be constructed to show the location of every earthquake in the past ten days with an image, link, video clip, and text for each location on the map.
Information Literacy Online Modules
Information Literacy Online is a web-based interactive group of modules that were developed by the Smathers Libraries and the Center for Instructional Technology and Training. Currently, the Research 101 module is available for student and faculty use. Research 101 includes five tutorials that introduce basic library research skills that are essential to every college student, regardless of interests or degree areas. In the tutorials, students learn a variety of useful skills including finding information, learning search techniques, and strategies for evaluating the quality and usability of sources. Create Quick Interactive Study Tools
Templates can help to quickly create study aids to assist students in review and test preparation. Respondus and Study Mate create interactions that are uploaded to an E-Learning course shell. The Adobe Flash quiz template creates a customizable self-test for use in a regular website or within E-Learning.
